Privacy notice

Before Sweet Hand opens

Sweet Hand hasn’t opened yet. Until it does, the only personal information we collect is what you give us to join the launch list. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

The launch list

Why we collect it

To send you one email on the day Sweet Hand opens. We never use the list for anything else, never link it to an account, and never share it with caterers.

What we keep

  • Your email address, and whether you’re planning an event or a caterer.
  • Your business name, if you’re a caterer and chose to give it.
  • A record of your consent: the words you agreed to, this notice’s version, the page, and when you signed up and confirmed.

Who processes it, and where

Microsoft Azure Communication Services sends the confirmation and launch-day emails with its data location set to Canada. Cloudflare Turnstile processes a security challenge only after you submit a valid form. We do not share the list with Cloudflare. The list and its backups are stored in Canada.

How long we keep it

How long Sweet Hand keeps the launch list
InformationKept for
An address you haven’t confirmed48 hours after the last confirmation email
A confirmed address30 days after launch day, or at once if you remove it

How to leave the list

Use the removal link in any email we send, or “Remove my email” after you confirm. There’s no sign-in and no second step: your details are deleted at once, and from backups within 35 days.

Cookies

Opening the page sets no cookies and loads no third-party script. When you submit the form, Cloudflare Turnstile loads to prevent automated sign-ups. Sign-up, confirmation and removal requests set a security token cookie that stops other sites acting as you. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
